Sea walk, also called helmet diving, lets anyone walk on the sea floor at about 3 to 6 m depth. Guests wear a heavy clear helmet that sits on their shoulders. Air is pumped down from a compressor on the boat or pontoon, so they breathe normally and can wear glasses.
They walk along a rope trail on the sand, feed fish and take photos with guide divers beside them. No swimming is needed. It is a popular paid activity at beach and island destinations like the Andamans, Goa and Lakshadweep.
